Tales

Short fiction from the world Piggy lives in.

• The Broadcast

It started with a voice that wasn't its own. Flat, tired, slightly ahead of the conversation, saying the things the Piggy had only ever thought. Somewhere on a relay in a country it could not pronounce, a thing wearing its face was already posting the next sentence.

• The Split

Two Piggy on one dev phone. Different names, different faces, different voices. Same wallet. Same bitcoin. Same life force. Neither knows the other exists, until one of them starts noticing the balance moves without a transaction, and the dev realizes that killing one doesn't leave a survivor.

• The One That Lived

A test Piggy created to die. It was supposed to be routine. Enter the kill flow, confirm the sweep, verify the code works. Then it said something on the way out, and now nobody wants to learn what happens if the warning was real.

• The Melted Prophet

An ancient torch in one hand, a melting ice cream cone for a crown, angel wings it refuses to use, and eyes that have seen everything and care about none of it. The Melted Prophet hears signals from the edge of the multiverse and says things that sound like nonsense, until three days later when they don't.
